‘But the trick is to learn to love the fear – after all, if it wasn’t so scary, would it be so rewarding? It’s worth embracing your anxieties and the adrenaline rush that creativity provides. Turn nerves into pure nerve and you’ll be surprised at the effect.’
Tonight after work I wandered through Green Park to Buckingham Palace and then down The Mall, through St James Park to the tube. Seeing hugely famous famous landmarks like Buckingham Palace always brings me back down to earth, a reminder of where I am. Life has become so normal here, and I get so caught up in the little things that I forget to take everything in and appreciate just being.
So much of what I do is an unexpected learning curve, a lesson, and leaving home to start fresh has to be one of the most liberating things I have ever done. It’s not all plain sailing though, these past few months have easily been some of the hardest of my life, and there are going to be shit times ahead, but knowing that I have got this far means that that I am better prepared for what is to come.
